Brighton & Hove Albion is a football club based in Brighton and Hove, England. The club is commonly known as Brighton and nicknamed “Albion” or “Seagulls” because it has a seagull in the logo of the Club.
History
Brighton was founded in 1901 and competed in the Southern League before being elected to the premier league of the English football system in 1920.
Stadium
Since 2011, Brighton has played their home matches at Falmer stadium, also known as the American Express Community Stadium for sponsorship reasons. Falmer stadium is located in the city of Brighton and Hove, England. Inaugurated in 2008, the stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 31,000 people.
Ownership
Brighton & Hove Albion Club is owned by Mr. Tony Bloom, and the head coach of the club is Mr. Roberto de Zerbi, an Italian former football player and coach.
Achievements
Brighton was runner ups in the 2016-17 season of the English Football league’s championship, which is the second highest tier in the English Football League System. And they were champions of the 1957-58, 2001-02, and 2010-11 seasons of the English Football League’s League One, which is the third tier in the English Football League System.
